Welcome to Light Shining Academy
Every student deserves a chance to succeed. Oftentimes, that chance is not afforded to
students inside a conventional classroom setting; schools are overcrowded, teachers are
overwhelmed, and the students are left to suffer. Light Shining Academy of Irvine, CA
understands that a little help can make a big difference. We are fortunate to be a part of a
successful and growing community where children attend quality schools. It is our
privilege to support local schools in their efforts to help students succeed.
Our staff of tutors can effectively handle any subject from grade school to high school.
The two most common areas of difficulty are math and English. Math has been a lifelong
enemy of many students. It requires a unique understanding to grasp the dynamics of
numbers and equations. Many students progress to the next level without mastering the
previous one, and ultimately, the burden catches up with them. We focus on building
their fundamentals so they can learn to enjoy math for years to come.
English and the humanities require a more nuanced approach. These subjects lack the
strict delineation between right and wrong as compared to math. However, skills such as
writing, reading, and spelling must be continually worked on to ensure success. Our
tutors help students in all matters of English, from ESL lessons to college essays. All of
our tutors are college graduates and have in-depth knowledge of how the application
process works.
